Dan and Liz met in high school during her sophomore, his junior year. They knew they had something special, but didn’t realize how momentous the first meet was going to be and what kind of impact it would have on their lives. They wanted their wedding to reflect the whimsical and playful nature of their relationship. The Montage Beverly Hills combined the glamour and elegance of Los Angeles living. For the ceremony, they had an outdoor garden-themed wedding where they were married under a floral arbor perfectly combining two seemingly contrasting environments (nature and the city) harmoniously.
Incorporating Dan’s love for National Geographic and continuing the nature theme of the ceremony, they created wood engravings of various animals as table numbers and used an animal theme for their dessert table, which included sheep, fox, and bear cupcakes, along with elephant cookies! Dan wanted to make something for Liz, a unique piece for their wedding. With no woodworking experience at all, he took the challenge to heart and fabricated a beautiful cupcake ferris wheel from scratch. The two of them fell in love with Disney's short film "Paperman" and wanted to have that tie everything together by stringing paper airplanes with love notes across the ceiling. Liz and Dan were such a sweet couple and their personal touches to the wedding made it unlike any other.
