Susan and Mike are Tennessee transplants who are in love and on a mission to start Mike's music career. Shortly after their move from New Jersey to Nashville this cute couple tied the knot. Throwing a wedding celebration with all the gusto and glamor of the CMT awards! Spectacular details like Susan's glittery shoes and cathedral length veil, the exquisite floral displays and the five (Yes, Five!) wedding cakes will leave you drooling. All this wedding was missing was the red carpet and a swarm of paparazzi.
We know you will be wanting a few tips on how to create your own glamorous gold and gray wedding. Be sure to keep reading to see Susan and Mike's the full budget break down. And as always, don't forget to check out the full gallery to see the fabulous details captured by Connection Photography.
From the Bride:I wish I would have worn a shorter veil. The cathedral veil is gorgeous and looks great in photos. However, the veil was stepped on, pulled, tugged, stuck, and tripped over for the majority of time I was wearing it. It became a running joke that it was "good luck" to step on the veil because everyone was doing it anyways!
To amp up the elegance of their rooftop wedding ceremony Mike and Susan relied on the outstanding talents of A Village of Flowers. This family owned floral company created all of the gorgeous bouquets of roses and cotton that lined the aisle and and spilled over the refurbished wedding altar.
We love Susan and Mike's alternative guestbook idea. Immortalizing your wedding day with an autographed instrument is a stroke of rock genius!
How many weddings have you been to where there are so many cake choices? All five of Mike and Susan's wedding cakes were jaw dropping pieces of art created by the sisters of Sweet T's Bakeshop. With training under Buddy Valastro (aka: the Cake Boss) it is no wonder the desserts from Sweet T's are so mind blowing.
