From play-dates to Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and onto high school sweethearts, Alex and Rachel have been together from the start. So, when it came to their wedding day they wanted to celebrate their life long relationship, along with their up and coming future. It really does not get any sweeter than these lifelong sweethearts.
They celebrated their love with a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony at The Redondo Beach Historical Library. With its ocean views and lush green lawns, it really was the perfect place for these two love birds to tie the knot! Can't get enough of this beautiful wedding captured by Dave Richards Photography? The Redondo Beach Historic Library is sure to capture the heart of anyone that step beyond its impressive double wooden doors. Whether you’re a book lover or not, the library is bound to appeal with its Spanish and Dutch colonial styles and its commanding view of both the Pacific ocean and the sprawling lawn of Veterans’ Park.
Alex and Rachel spoke their vows on the lawn directly behind the library were their guests could hear and smell the rhythmic ocean waves. Other possible ceremony sites at the library include a quartet of ocean-facing windows on the main floor, all of which glow with a lavish light during sunset as well as the Veterans’ Park concert green situated on the building’s north side.
Rachel and Alex sat down to sign their ketubah, which is a traditional Jewish prenuptial agreement. It is considered an integral part of a Jewish marriage, and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom, in relation to the bride. Legal matters aside, it is a gorgeous document fit for display in their new home.
The bride was confident in what she wanted her wedding to look and feel like when she met with her event planner Natalie Sofer of Natalie Sofer Weddings and Events. Rachel found the perfect coordinator in Natalie, who makes sure that her clients experience their dream wedding, and that all the guests have the time of their lives. On the big day, they take care of all your needs and request, from getting ready, to managing the day, to seeing you off on the honeymoon of your dreams.

From the Bride:The only thing I would change would be to wear my hair differently. I was so set on the idea of "simple" and looking like myself that I left my hair down (but curled to soft waves) and with a flower. However, not long after, due to the wind and dancing, it didn't look very good. I would have changed to doing a soft side ponytail or something like that, but not a formal up-do.
In terms of budget for the wedding, the following is a rough estimation:
Venue + Catering + DJ: $20,000
Florist: $2,500
Photographer: $3,800
