Choosing your wedding ensemble can be tricky, especially if your personal style isn't traditionally uber femme. With leather accents and touches of floral, this styled shoot shows that femininity and strength go hand-in-hand and proves that you don't need to wear a gown to be a bride.

We planned this micro wedding inspiration to suit a fiercely independent modern bride-the type who would rock a sexy suit, drink her whisky neat, and do whatever else she pleases. To make a big impact for an intimate gathering, we chose lots of textures, like the velvet banquettes and chairs, cut crystal glasses and repurposed decanter vases, and the leather jewelry and stationery details.
Hair and MUA, Taylor Switzer, designed our model’s look to be strong yet feminine, taking inspiration from vintage-inspired looks with a modern twist. The suits provided by Valencienne and Loversland showcase sleek and flowing ensembles, that are bespoke and off-the-rack to accommodate a range of bridal budgets.
We wanted to celebrate the work of local artists as much as possible, by featuring the work of leather jeweler, Louve Montreal, ring designer, Aimee Kennedy, stationers, Paper & Poste, and gemstone caramels by chocolatier CXBO. The stunning dark florals by designer Sofia were the perfect blend of romantic and intriguing-just like the woman we imagined carrying them.
