For many couples, a micro wedding was not necessarily their “Plan A”. Now that couples have had to adapt how they host events in a COVID era, these more intimate gatherings have become the new norm, arguably an even more unique and memorable experience. Newly engaged couples are embracing mini and micro weddings from the start, though there is some hesitation that their celebration won’t feel the same because of the smaller size.
When we first saw Fairville Inn, we knew it would back the perfect backdrop for the editorial. The property is surrounded by lush green trees and a small lake. From the moment you arrive, it feels like a home away from home.
Gina Digneo created a soft, sun-kissed look for the bride. Her hair was pulled back into low ponytail with soft curls framing her face. She wore a custom designed lace dress with a cutout back and a cathedral veil. A pair of fresh water pearl drop earrings and floral embroidered Bella Belle Shoes completed her look.
The design showcases a color palette of ivories, fresh greens, and touches of soft peach and pale yellow. Organic, cascading arrangements from Forte Florals and linens from BBJ Linen infuse the table with color and texture. China inspired by the bride’s lace wedding gown and cut crystal glasses paired with gold flatware from White Glove Rentals elevate the design.
The custom calligraphy and invitation suite from Krisanna Elizabeth featured a vellum envelope with a gorgeous floral envelope liner inspired by blooms used in the bride’s bouquet. Menu cards with hand tied silk ribbons and green calligraphy name cards give each place setting a personal touch.
This intimate editorial showcases that micro weddings exude elegance and sophistication in celebrating your nuptials in this new norm of 2020/2021 gatherings. These dreamy photos from Barrie Anne Photography prove micro weddings radiate a unique warmth and intimacy that can be felt by all.
