This shoot came to life when planning travels to Spain. I absolutely adore the Spanish culture and decided to use that aesthetic in a pretty backyard setting
Weddings can be so overwhelming nowadays with Pinterest and Instagram. Sometimes I think it’s nice to see something simple, yet still timeless and beautiful.
We selected a bright pink bridal bouquet to resemble the bougainvillea you see all over the streets of Seville, mixed in the clay vases and planters that typically sit outside restaurants.
The featured cocktail is called “Tinto de Verano.” It is half lemon spritzer + red wine, perfect for a scorching hot afternoon. We paired that with a charcuterie board, and things that could be eaten with fingers, just like the tapas you’ll find all over the country of Spain.
Though the bridal gown was not a flamenco styled dress we chose something that was easy to maneuver in and flow-ey so she could be comfortable mingling in an outdoor environment. I thought putting the bride in some designer leather flats would add a nice Spanish touch - easy footwear, yet bridal-appropriate.
This shoot was not intended to be filled with numerous frilly details, but rather uncomplicated non-fussy elements for real brides to get ideas from. Not every wedding has to break the bank. It is easy to pull together a backyard wedding with inspiration from you and your fiancés most-loved travels
