If you've ever wondered how to elope in the woods, we'll tell you where to start: in the Spring, at sunset, with a gauzy, flower-topped teepee and a stunning picnic set for two (or three, if you have a furry witness waiting in the wings). Well, at least that's what Digital Dreamer dreamed up for this insanely-gorgeous, indie-spirited elopement shoot in Folsom, CA - and after peeping all the pics, we can honestly say there's probably no better way to do it.
From the colored glass goblets, to the mixed metallic lanterns, vintage red rug, to the statement teepee and a blonde, loosely-braided bride with red flowers in her hair, everything was branded bohemian (with no flower crowns in sight!). Scroll down to see some of our favorite shots from the day, and make sure to check out the full gallery - all courtesy of Digital Dreamer and the dream team she assembled for this magical ✨✨✨ day.
Leo Tolstoy said that once... and interestingly enough, that's how this shoot was inspired. From Digital Dreamer: This inspirational shoot came about very unexpectedly. Finally the rains stopped pouring and the trees started blooming. We entered into the season of Spring, and all I wanted was to shoot a romantic spring wedding. Since I like to get creative and find ideas on Pinterest and other wedding blogs, I started looking and couldn't stop pinning. Now I am just a photographer with inspirations, but I needed a creative stylist/coordinator who could put all together. Thats where Happily Ever Details came in.
She did all the work, looking for rentals, vendors, models and etc. After sometime, we finally set a date and found our couple and our vendors. Now, our couple is already married and was thrilled to do another shoot that involved them dolling up and falling in love all over again. Diamond Bridal Gallery provided us a beautiful and dreamy gown and we couldn't be more excited to finally shoot.
The day had finally come, while make up and hair was getting done, Happily Ever Details was busy setting everything up. Our location was in Folsom, CA where everything was green and magical. There was a path that led to the lake, and we did our sunset photos there. The day went by extremely fast, but it led us all to come together with all different talents to make a small inspiration bloom into a magical shoot. Every single vendor who participated did an amazing job, we all loved working together and hope to create more beautiful love stories soon.
