From Parsonage Flowers:
Using inspirational deep earth tones with pops of burgundy, burnt orange, and plum, everything began to fall into place. Flowers at the top of my list included blue thistle, terra cotta roses, and dahlias with accent greens of eucalyptus and acacia. Kale, apples branches, and berries were a few last minute components that were added to give everything that last bit of Michigan feel. I hesitated to incorporate pumpkins because I did not want to be traditional, so I was excited to find white and grey pumpkins at the farmers market to create a new take on the design. The leather wrap accents were the frosting on the cake! An alternative to the traditional ribbon or lace, I thought the leather was hardier and perfect for fall – plus it matched the bride’s shoes perfectly!
From Take A Seat Events:
When we came across the 1950's vintage wedding gown from a boutique shop in Royal Oak, it inspired us to add a vintage twist to the overall look and theme. The birdcage head piece, red lipstick, paperboy hat, and tweed jacket helped create the 'Notebook-esque' look that we were envisioning.
This secluded residence in Ray Township provided the perfect scenic backdrop that we were hoping for to pull together the earthy tones that made up our color scheme. From the dessert display to the couples' attire - we wanted to incorporate local Michigan goods to truly showcase what our great state represents.
Serradella Vintage provided the perfect rental pieces that completed our design. The exposed rustic bar with a bare wood panel became the centerpiece for all of the fall details that filled its shelves. The pale pink china added a soft feminine touch to our table setting in the midst of the fall rustic backdrop.
