Two travel-loving hearts were united when Logan and Alix didn't let a little weather ruin their big day — they tied the knot despite the rain. Instead, these college sweethearts rolled with the punches and pulled off a spectacular indoor and outdoor celebration at Bella Collina. This beautiful venue, located just outside of Orlando, Florida, provided the stunning backdrop for their ceremony and reception.
You can't stop this party! Andi Mans Photography captured every last detail of this classic travel themed wedding as the festivities continued late into the night. See all the fun in the full gallery here.
From Andi Mans Photography:Alix is from St. Martinique and Logan from New Jersey, the two met in college where they went to school at Embry Riddle and it was love at first sight! The big day came and some unexpected weather happened, a huge storm rolled in right before the reception, but that didn’t change the fun and excitement of our plan! The amazing team of wedding vendors worked together to move from the tsunami of rain that poured down and it all turned out beautiful! From the Bride:When wedding coordinator Brandee Gaar of Blush and I started planning my wedding we made sure everything was very tailored/detailed to what Logan and I wanted. This wedding represented us as a couple, with our roots and what we love (to fly airplanes, travel).
Logan and Alix arrived to their wedding reception in a light blue scooter with a burlap just married bunting sign. They also used their scooter as their getaway ride. As opposed to a traditional car. Such a fun idea ... don't you think?
I wore my wedding dress all night long (Pronovias), it is still hanging in my bathroom to try to remove all the dirt left on the bottom before I send it to the dry cleaner to clean it and then to transform it into a Christening dress for our future babies (far future).
If we could have controlled the weather it would have been great. It started raining before our arrival to the reception and the dinner had to be moved inside. We were able to go back outside for dancing! Big advice for all brides always have a backup plan!We love the subtle hints of travel through out this reception! From the antique sailing map and card collecting suitcase to the airplane escort cards and tiny sailboat centerpieces, this wedding speaks of Alix and Logan's wish to go and see the world. The beautiful florals Cheryl's Distinctive Creations provided were an exquisite touch to the already impressive venue. It's unfortunate that all of this had to be relocated indoors but being flexible and having options are important when planning a big event.
Blush By Brandee Gaar did an excellent job at creating an intimate space for Logan and Alix to enjoy their wedding reception. It really is one of the fanciest sweet heart tables we have ever seen.
Once the sun had set Kaleidoscope Event Lighting created a lovely romantic outdoor atmosphere for guests that were ready to dance the night away under the stars.
