This wedding season has started a little earlier than usual, and what better place to open the season than Villa Catignano, one of the favorite venues of WedinItaly and our visiting spouses?
The weather in the morning was very cloudy, but fortunately in the early afternoon, just shortly before the ceremony in the incredible Italian style garden, the clouds dispersed and the the sun brought out the vivid colors of the surroundings.
We arranged two wide rooms – originally used as tinaie, for the preparation and fermentation of wine – one for the dinner, and one for the cocktail and the party. In the dining hall we suspended large lanterns and colored pom-pom paper from the ceiling. The tables were decorated with simple and colourful arrangements of roses, tulips, hydrangeas, peonies, dianthus and buttercups.
The result was perfect harmony between the colors and scents of spring that has just begun!
