The "Nod to Cinderella" concept came together when stylist Kortney Cooper Dowell and photographer Hillary Muelleck were fawning over Disney's newest Cinderella movie. They both loved the beautiful architecture, romance, European influence, and the ethereal feel. With a modern twist to this classic fairy tale, they pulled together a new design of a Cinderella story that could inspire brides today!
While taking inspiration from heavy, vintage fabrics, blue and cream color palettes, and the warm glow of candlelight, they were able to create this dreamy classic Cinderella wedding inspiration. See even more ideas in the full gallery here.
We were thrilled to have Kara Hill create all our paper products with her stunning handwritten calligraphy. The gold ink, wax stamps, and water color inspiration were the perfect details that drew every element together. Everything in this enchanting "Nod to Cinderella" wedding inspiration, from the water color elements to the vintage toile patterns, was exactly what we had envisioned for our modern day bride. I'm so grateful to all the vendors who came together to create something inspiring.
Kortney Dowell put together a beautiful asymmetrical center piece and bridal bouquet that featured creamy white florals and lots of natural green foliage. As an event designer as well as a florist, Kortney also created this eye-catching table display that incorporated gold trimmed glass and blue-on-cream vintage toile to incorporate the classic, European inspired feel.
Our Cinderella gown and cathedral veil from BHLDN had all the dreamy elements for our modern fairy tale including a floral-covered bodice and a flowing tulle skirt. We loved the light and romantic look this gown gave our bride. In keeping with the modern yet classic feel, Swoon Vintage Rentals brought many inspiring pieces including assorted gold candlesticks, 2 white leather chairs, and a blue velvet couch. Bella Manse was also able to include a stunning blue, water color design for our wedding cake.
