Ashley and Luu's wedding day at Building 177 was nothing short of joyful. The entire day - planned with the help of Together Ever After - featured florals in bold and bright shades such as lemon, lilac, blush, and tangerine that created a effervescent aesthetic to die for. When Ashley inquired with Pink Poppy Designs about her wedding florals, the florist couldn't have been more excited about the bright, whimsical style she had envisioned. Learning that bride Ashley was an art teacher presented Pink Poppy with the opportunity to include unique and fun elements into the wedding florals while working directly with the bride to create something extra special.

How to have a whimsical wedding inspired by Alice in Wonderland
Ashley’s vision was to create something whimsical and colorful, with a touch of fairytale. Since the wedding was in March, the florist, Pink Poppy Designs, was able to curate so many colorful spring blooms to create the whimsical garden look the couple was envisioning.
Florist Pink Poppy asked Ashley if she would be open to painting a wood backdrop for her ceremony, and of course she jumped at the opportunity! The florist delivered a large board to her house a few months before the wedding, and she created the most amazingly beautiful backdrop. Pink Poppy used the bride's color scheme and painted two additional boards to accent her main piece. This unique and very personal backdrop created an amazing focal point for their ceremony and directly represented their personality and style.
For the ceremony, Pink Poppy created several floor arrangements to appear as though the flowers were growing out of the ground. These were placed down each side of the aisle. They also used colorful ribbons to create a super fun and vibrant accent.
After the ceremony, Pink Poppy was able to create a whimsical garden look on the reception tables by repurposing the aisle florals and bringing in a fairytale accent with candelabras.
The couple opted for a dainty two tier cake with white detailing and pops of red-orange poppy flowers set against frosted green leaves.
To send guests off with a sweet treat, the newlyweds offered sweet cookie treats in polka dot baggies that guests could indulge in in the moment or take with them for the ride home.
