Having a destination wedding or elopement doesn't mean you have to miss out on celebrating with friends and family. Invite your friends and family for a little backyard wedding reception just like our next couple did. After traveling to France for their wedding, Kim and Jeremy wanted to make sure they had a hometown reception.
All the stunning decor was hand created by members of their church, Molly Voth and Susan Nations, who poured their hearts into making this a spectacular event. Held at Jeremy's family property on Lake Keystone and filled to the brim with details galore, we know you are going to fall head over heels in love with all this rustic wedding reception ideas. From Papered Heart PhotographyKim and Jeremy wanted a relaxed and Southern feel for their hometown reception. Along with having sweet Southern and vintage decor, they wanted French elements infused into the celebration so that all of their guests would also experience the feel of their ultimately romantic wedding in Paris.
An old cattle trough that was once used generations ago, and now put to use as a old fashioned Coca-Cola chiller. An over the top great idea.
Our favorite DIY creations they used were handmade flowers adoring burlap table runners, a picture-scape of all of their Paris wedding images wrapped around oak trees for guests to view, vintage wagon wheels strung under the tents and wrapped with fern, flowers, and mason jars with lights hanging from them.
