From Rachel Peters Photography:Sophia is a natural beauty and her makeup reflects her inner poise and sophistication. Make up artist Michelle Cudmore used colours with warm undertones, like the golden peach color on her eyelids, to compliment her skin tone. Her makeup is understated yet still soft and romantic. Sophia's cascading soft waves are the ultimate in femininity & intensely romantic hair. The look, created by Cheryl Delaney Weeks, is timeless.
We love weddings with a signature drink...but we love weddings with two signature drinks even more! Having his and hers drinks can be an excellent way for the bride and groom to show off their individual personalities while also enhancing a color scheme or theme of an event. Here are a few easy recipes for you to use at your wedding:
Peach Bellini
2 ripe peaches, seeded and diced
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 bottle chilled prosecco sparkling wine Place the peaches, lemon juice, and sugar in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade and process until smooth. Press the mixture through a sieve and discard the peach solids in the sieve. Place 2 tablespoons of the peach puree into each Champagne glass and fill with cold prosecco. Yields 6-8 servings.
Mint Lime Mojito
1.25 ounces Captain Morgan® Original Spiced Rum
10 pieces of
mint
1 teaspoon
sugar
0.5 ounce lime juice
2 ounces
soda water Place mint leaves in bottom of glass. Add crushed ice, rum, sugar and lime juice and muddle. Add soda water and garnish with mint leaves. Yields 1 serving.
The wedding's design was centered around shades of peach, mint and lustrous gold which blend harmoniously to create a soft and romantic color palette. Further softened with delicate feathers, white china, crystal and candlelight. Elegant flower arrangements, in keeping with the wedding's color scheme, take center stage. Sophia and Dylan are hopeless romantics, their style in stationery reflects that. Kim Roach Designs used a palette of greens and peaches to complete their invitation suites as well as a textured paper to give the paper details a soft romantic touch.
In keeping with the romantic and feminine wedding theme; the wedding cake, macaroon tower and cupcakes were created in the colour palate of peach, ivory and gold. City View Bakehouse created romantic hand made ruffles and sugar flowers on the wedding cake and macaroon tower. There was a true feminine flair on the cupcakes with the butter cream ruffles, rosettes, gold pearls and roses.
