Red Heels Events gathered a fabulous group of Michigan wedding vendors to create this colorful inspirational photo shoot! Using "The Wizard of Oz" as their muse, these vendors created a stunningly modern take on the classic film by using a bold color palette of emerald green, ruby red, snow white and metallic gold.

From Summer Jean Photography:It seemed only natural with the Pantone color of the year being Emerald and my business name being Red Heels Events that we do a shoot inspired by The Wizard of Oz. We wanted to focus more on the Emerald City aspect and just hint at the iconic parts of the movie. Overall we were going for a very clean lined but whimsical feel for the entire shoot and I definitely feel that we achieved that.

I brought in the emerald everywhere, including using vintage green glass for the table settings, the bride’s green birdcage veil and emerald ring to the beautiful cake. We hinted at the movie in small ways such as doing the aisle and chairs in a spiral with a sprinkling of gold bricks, the ruby red shoes the bride wore, the hot air balloon over the cake table and the oil can table number holder.

I truly believe that a beautiful design in all about the details like the red bouquet, the veil, the groom’s rainbow socks and the adorable paper products. These are the things that make you want to look at the pictures more than once because you pick up more and more every time.
