Vermeer Inspired Fall Wedding Shoot with a Real Engagement

Wedding dress draped on a vintage blue armchair outdoors

This inspirational shoot was inspired by a painting called the 'Girl Reading A Letter At An Open Window' by Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer. The shoot's designer, Kate Weinstein from Le Bash, found the painting to be the perfect compliment to the deep colors and warm, rich fabrics of the fall season.
This inspirational shoot also features a stunning gown from designer, Sarah Janks' new Fall 2013 Collection. In a fun and unexpected twist, the couple who modeled for the shoot actually got engaged right afterwards. Molly, the bride to be, had no idea that while she and her boyfriend were pretending to be married, that they would actually be engaged to be married later that night! Love that.
