Red, Black, and Gold Wedding: A Chic & Modern Palette for Brides

Bride holding elegant black and white wedding cake

Sometimes the classic palette of red, black, and gold can get overlooked and many brides might think it’ s over done, or is too hard to do. We love this color palette and the options and opportunities it gives. It’s a classic and can be taken to a new modern level.

Amanda Douglas Events and a wonderful team of vendors took on the challenge and put together a touch of class wedding shoot that showed this color palette in a fun and chic way. If you’re going to do this elegant look make sure that your hair, makeup, and dress fit the part too. You are the finishing touch of your theme; you’re the cherry on top! On the stunning details

The rich deep black of the table cloth grounds the whole look and gives you a great foundation to build your bright and bold table scape around. We had to have the gold chiavari chairs to bring that art deco, chic look into the shoot. We brought as many gold accents into the shoot that we could, without being too much. Like us, you can do this at your wedding in the stationery elements, type of drink you serve (champagne please!), cutlery, and in the florals (the vases, or sprayed flowers too). We always think the best way to bring in the red in this type of look is in the florals. Stay away from using too many of the classic red rose but go for some other fun red flowers like ginger, gladiolas, peonies and different types of orchids.

Make a statement with your cake

Your wedding cake is a great accent and element that can tie together your whole theme. If you’re going to have a wedding cake, and a gorgeous one, don’t hide it in the back of the room, or off to the side. Consider having it on the dance floor, lit well, until it’s time for your dance, or give it its own area by the bar, or in your lounge. With this cake, the designer- Laugh Love Cakes, pulled all the stops and gave it that wow factor. If you’re going to have a bold theme and bright colors make sure your cake is up to par. Make sure your cake is as bright and bold, with those touches of class that make it fit right in with the rest of the mood and feel of your wedding.
