Bride and groom embrace in a sunlit meadow wedding

We love summer weddings and we just had to share with you Molly + Robert's romantic I do's at the Mt. Woodson Castle in Southern California. The bride's vision included soft shades of creme and gold with pops of fuchsia throughout for the ultimate romantic vibe.

This whole day is just too pretty for words, so we'll let the beautiful images from Elate Photo do the talking! Check out the full gallery to see every last detail, and don't miss the brides budget breakdown below for an idea on what a romantic wedding like this may cost you.

Soft and bright

From the bride: I envisioned a really fun party that everyone would enjoy! I wanted something casual, but still very romantic. My color palette was cream and gold, with pops of fuchsia. For style, I wanted something that was quintessential Southern California – very laid back but still really beautiful.

Colorful and undone

My flowers were AMAZING! I wanted something that was really romantic, but a bit undone and colorful. I gave Leah of Bespoke Occasions a general idea and color palette and let her run with it. I am so glad I did – they were perfect; everything I wanted and more. They included king proteas, anemones, peonies, English garden roses, and being quintessential to Southern California, fuchsia bougainvillea.

Custom cookies

We had custom cookies made in the image of our dog Jackson and cat Oliver, which was really special since they couldn’t be there on the actual day. We also were gifted the groom’s great-grandmother’s champagne coupes, which we used for our wedding toasts, and our cake serving set was actually from my grandparents wedding.

From one bride to another

Try not to get stressed! (I know it’s hard). I would also say to give your vendors and bridal party some leeway in customizing their aspect of the wedding. I felt like just giving a general guideline for how I wanted things and then letting everyone interpret it their own way made things turn out so much better! It allowed my vendors to let their creativity shine and it allowed my bridesmaids to all look and feel their best :)
