From the Bride: Though we are both from Northern California, growing up, my (Jnana’s) family would visit national parks all over North America. Every summer, my dad would pick a new national park, load up our family minivan, and take us to explore all the great natural beauties he could find. Banff National Park was my favorite. When we started the wedding planning process, the only thing I knew I wanted was a wedding in Banff.
Our florist, Willow Flower Company, did an amazing job designing and handcrafting garlands to wear during our ceremony in addition to creating arrangements to complement the naturally beautiful surroundings for the outdoor ceremony.
I think the biggest thing to keep in mind is that your wedding is one day. One day. Keep everything in perspective when you are planning for it (and stressing out about it.) The day comes and goes SO quickly, so make sure you take the time to soak it all in.
You will never have your "engagement" cloud to float on again and you won't be able to plan another party like this for you and all your loved ones to enjoy.
Our reception included planned individual and group dance performances by our friends and family. In addition to some fantastic Indian dancing, two of our friends surprised us with a lip-syncing impersonation of Justin Bieber and Ludacris, which made all guests feel comfortable to hit the dance floor.
