Before Elaina found a venue or dress, she found the inspiration for her wedding décor. While shopping at a yard sale in her hometown of Richfield, Ohio, Elaina purchased a collection of vintage hobnail milk glass. After that, Elaina and Alex were committed to an rustic but elegant style for their wedding, featuring pure white milk glass centerpieces and accents. Both Elaina and Alex's families rallied around this concept, combing estate sales and antique stores to find the perfect pedestals and vases for their wedding décor.
Do you love it as much as we do? A neutral color pallet combined with a rustic venue and modern styling insures that you will need to see every last detail that the full gallery has to offer. This beautiful day was captured by Aster & Olive Photography.
Elaina knew she wanted her flowers and greenery to complement, not compete with, the timeless style of the vintage milk glass. After considering and rejecting more colorful options, she decided that deep green boxwood would be the base of her floral arrangements, accented with pure white roses, freesia, and hypericum berries. To give the arrangements and bouquets a touch of deco-glamour, she added branches of metallic gold ruscus. All of the wedding flowers were purchased in bulk and arranged, with the help of family, in the days leading up to Elaina and Alex's wedding.
Elaina's parents made the wreaths and candle sconces for the ceremony, cut and arranged yards of burlap, and hung countless gold and silver paper lanterns from the barn rafters at the beautiful Brookside Farms in Louisville, Ohio. Using vintage picture frames her mom had whitewashed and prepped with chalkboard paint, Elaina made the wedding signage including an interactive “guest book.”
