“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” - When Harry Met Sally. Gold leafed invitations featuring hand calligraphy invited guests to join our couple as they celebrate the rest of their lives together on the most magical night of the year: New Year’s Eve.
Our bride wowed in a rose gold sequin embellished dress with bow back detail by Canadian designer Truvelle. Our groom wore a classic shawl collar black tuxedo. The bride and bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of velvet cherry David Austin garden roses, standard and spray roses, hypericum berries, ruscus, leather leaf, lily grass and tree ferns. Stunning jewels and romantic hair and makeup completed their looks.
Set at the gorgeous Cotton Room in Durham, North Carolina, exposed brick, restored hardwood floors and expansive windows were the perfect backdrop for our table draped with Gatsby-esque linens, gold trimmed place settings with black and white striped details, gold leafed taper candles and lush blooms. Each place setting featured a personal sized mini-cake as an alternative to the traditional place card. A gorgeous four-tiered cake, as well as a delicious winter inspired dessert bar, shined against a luxurious wavy organza linen.
