Surprise! It's time for the second DIY project from Liz and Ryan — DIY Gold Honeycomb Martini Glasses. Since no party is complete without tasty cocktails, Liz wanted fun glasses for a party she and Ryan were throwing. Inspired by some fun gold honeycomb martini glasses from West Elm, Liz and Ryan created their own chic glasses that would be the perfect accent for any wedding, bridal shower or festive occasion. Read on to learn the steps for creating your own DIY Honeycomb Martini Glasses!
Be sure to keep a look out for the final DIY project from the Gold Service Set — Scrabble Glass Charms!
DIY Gold Honeycomb Martini Glasses supplies:
Inexpensive martini glasses, Metallic gold spray paint & Circular garage sale labels.
Step #1: The first thing you need to do is prepare to spray paint the garage sale labels. Make sure your work area is covered — Liz and Ryan used paper — then lay the garage labels out over the paper face up. To prevent the label sheets from blowing around when they were spray painting Liz and Ryan attached each sheet to the paper with a small piece of tape.
Step #2: Now it's time to spray paint!
Step #3: After the paint has dried, stick the labels on the martini glasses starting at the base of the glass. Work your way around the glass in a circle and be sure to overlap each sticker.
Now all you need is a fabulous cocktail so you can sit back and enjoy your handiwork. Liz and Ryan recommended a Caramel Apple Cider Martini — check out the easy recipe below!
Caramel Apple Cider Martini:
1/2 cup apple cider
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce butterscotch schnapps ice cubes Put cider, vodka and schnapps into a shaker. Add ice cubes and shake until cold. Strain beverage into your fabulous new glass and enjoy! (recipe yields 1 serving)
