Reverie Events created this bright and whimsical bouquet, not only is it full of beautiful shades of peach and coral, but it was created in January. Reverie Events is a huge fan of icelandic poppies, for their vibrant color and their ruffled, almost crepe paper-like texture. They're one of the prettiest things about winter. Lucky for us Reverie Events also added some floral tips below if you are considering creating your own romantic peach wedding bouquet. Below is the bouquet recipe for this darling bouquet captured by Kay English Photography.
Romantic Peach Wedding Bouquet Recipe:
16 Icelandic Poppies (coral), 7 Juliet David Austin Garden Roses (peach), 5 Sarah Bernhardt Peonies, tight (light pink), 10 Ranunculus (white), 5 Ranunculus (orange), 10 Protea Cochia (minty grey)
A little bit about Icelandic poppies.
Icelandic poppies are a bit high-maintenance. If you're DIY-ing you'll have to take extra care when working with icelandic poppies. Because of their delicate nature, they only last a few days. To preserve them, it's ideal to obtain them when they're still in their buds. Carefully peel off the green bud casing, starting near the stem and working your way out, so as not to tear the delicate petals. This will open the bloom and expose its beautiful color. Poppies are great because they come in so many shades within a given hue, which gives an ombre effect to your arrangement or bouquet.
Poppies can sap, so if you want to extend the flower life, cut them to the proper length and briefly hold the end of the stem over a candle flame to seal it. This keeps them from sapping, but still allows for water absorption. Place your poppies into your arrangement, and keep the arrangement cool.
