Rustic Purple & Gray Handmade Wedding at Oak Canyon

Bride and groom portrait at their outdoor wedding

Our next wedding is one of those awe inspiring weddings. Filled with rustic details and thoughtful touches, and almost everything was handmade either by the bride or her friends. Who doesn't love when all the details at a wedding are handmade? Not only does it become truly a labor of love, but it is incredibly inspiring. Filling us with ideas, and the hope that we can also create something equally as stunning.
We know you're going to love so many things about Ashley and Geoffrey's handmade rustic purple and gray wedding, especially the bridesmaid and groomsman gifts. The couple used a tree theme throughout the wedding that was perfect for the outdoor rustic wedding venue Oak Canyon Nature Center. As usual, there is a full gallery of images to see all beautifully photographed by Candice Benjamin Photography.

Ashley not only gave her bridesmaids one of our personal wedding totes as a gift, but she also used our free printables for their wedding monogram. They were used on their wedding invites, personalized cookies and well wishes cards for the bride and the groom.

From The Bride: I loved that everything was handmade. A few things were bought from Etsy but the signs for the ceremony, cards at the table, decorations for the sweetheart table, ring bearer pillow and so much more was made by the bride or friends. The flowers were arranged by family friends, the bride's dad made the facade to go in front of the bar and mason jars were donated by family friends.

It made all those little details so much more special. Plus, we get to keep all those items and find new ways to use them in our home to remind us of our wedding. If you are going to have a DIY wedding start early by jotting down ideas and keeping pictures of things you would like. Starting early allows you to scope out the best prices to make your ideas come to life. Also, at least one week before the wedding, if not two, stop all your DIY and just focus on relaxing and having a good time.

Ashley and Geoffrey placed cards for guests to write well wishes on each table. They used our free printable Floral Heart Monogram and our Circle Love Custom Monogram. They were stacked on each table and wrapped in twine, and guest placed them in this customized wood box.
