Looking to plan an intimate and relaxed bridal shower? Possibly something earlier in the day when it is not too hot out? If so, a bridal shower brunch is a lovely way to honor the bride-to-be. Throw in a Mimosa bar and some girly pink decorations, and you will have a fabulous morning that any bride would be thrilled about.
Before you start planing for you bridal shower brunch you will need to choose a location. Our next shower was actually thrown at the bride-to-be's own backyard. Jessica (also owner of A Vintage Affair Events and Rentals) and her hubby to be worked for months before the shower to prep the space for the event. As you can see she engaged every area of the backyard with small vignettes, and every detail was executed perfectly! Read on to hear more bridal shower brunch ideas from Jessica. When the girls first arrived they were asked to pin a flower in their hair, barrettes and hair pins were provided and it was the perfect touch. Below is more info and tips on how to throw a bridal shower brunch from the bride:
I knew I wanted it to be relaxed and our backyard was the perfect location. We spent the whole summer planting lots of flowers and fixing it up. On the day of it was actually suppose to rain, but the sun came out and the day was perfect. I was so excited to have Connie as the photographer. In May, she was getting married and I was her planner. She is so sweet and talented and I loved working with her as her client.
For the decor I used some of my own vintage inventory, but mainly relied on the Cori Cook Floral Design and plantings we did in our own backyard. The girly pink pin-stripped linens complimented the flowers perfectly. Also, the flower pinning was a fun and unique touch for all the girls. The glasses were from Anthopologie which I had already owned. The honey jars came from a honey farm in Ohio and the adorable labels are from Etsy.
I love breakfast, so I knew I wanted to have a brunch. If anyone knows me they know I have a slight obsession with bagels. I could eat one for every meal of everyday; so of course a bagel “bar” was in order! And since my future mother-in-law makes the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever tasted there was also a biscuit bar. Complete with mimosas, doughnuts, and fruit it was huge hit- yet simple enough to do ourselves.
