Time Travel to Old Hollywood with a Showstopping Wedding Celebration!
Sammy and Maddy met back in 2018. After a year of driving every weekend to see each other, Sammy convinced Maddy to move to Wausau. He proposed at Maddy's alma mater, Concordia University, in 2021, and the rest - as they say - is history! As one of the best-kept secrets of the Midwest, the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum located in Milwaukee has the most stunning views of Lake Michigan. The Italian Renaissance-style home built in 1924 for the Smith family is historic for its stories of love. When they were planning their wedding, Sammy and Maddy absolutely fell in love with the property and home. Maddy and Sammy held their ceremony and sunset dinner on the terrace, while cocktail hour was held in the beautiful courtyard and the night ended with dancing in the ballroom. A classic wedding theme called for inspo from Old Hollywood
Maddy and Sammy wanted a timeless, classic theme for their special day, so of course Old Hollywood was the perfect choice! A champagne and navy color scheme helped complement this classic inspiration. For their flowers, Maddy's bridesmaids carried the Bianca Posy by Something Borrowed Blooms, while she carried the Garden Cut Bianca Bridal Bouquet, also courtesy of Something Borrowed Blooms.

Personal elements were a part of each and every event during the day
To make their day extra special, they incorporated a number of personalized elements. During their ceremony, Sammy said a private prayer with only their immediate families present, circled around the couple at the altar. During the reception, guests were able to leave them voicemails on a vintage phone courtesy of After the Tone that served as their guestbook. They even choreographed the sweetest first dance! What advice does the couple have now that they've gone through the entire wedding planning process? "Create the day you want as a couple! Don't worry about pleasing everyone else. It's your day!"
